Volunteer
Volunteering is a great way to both connect with the community and give something back to the community. Shemer Art Center and Museum has many opportunities for you to donate time that will help us be able to grow and shine as a place to learn and exhibit. Here’s some great opportunities to put both your talents and your spare time to use in your community.
ACQUISITIONS
Assist with cataloging, inventory and preservation of artworks in the permanent collection.
ADMINISTRATION
Work with various committees providing administrative support for exhibitions or classes.
EXHIBITIONS
Help with receiving and cataloging incoming artworks for new exhibitions. Assist curator and exhibition committee with all phases of exhibition installation.
SPECIAL EVENTS
Assist Events Committee with all phases of planning, setup and function of special events, exhibit receptions, awards ceremonies, lectures, artist cafes, entertainment, and other functions.
VISITOR SERVICES
We need inspired people to help create a memorable experience for our visitors. Are you comfortable working with the public?
ARE YOU A NIGHT OWL?
Would you be able to assist the education committee or provide administrative support, or greet visitors during a special event in the evening hours?
